Thomas Park of mystified was shown an old public domain recording of "The Star Spangled Banner" by John Tocher. Thomas used the recording to create 4 outtakes on the United States' national anthem. No additional sounds were added-- all that you hear is from this original recording, an old 78 of the American standby. Any interpretations of these pieces are left to the listeners-- Mystified viewed this project as an aesthetic one, not a political one.

Further explorations of the dronescape by Mystified with his remarkable blue plastic trombone. Bone Drones has by now become an open-ended quest to find the sonic possibilities of the trombone as a drone instrument. "For Bone Drones 5, Mystified brought in some new elements. One was Paulstretch-- some of the pBone sounds were stretched before they were further effected, giving them more of a string-like quality. Another was bits and pieces of an ancient opera recording, highly warped and effected. You can hear them if you listen closely.
